The Internet Archive Standard Pallet

42" by 42" pallets are what the Internet Archive uses when it has the choice. The size is picked so that they can be 2 side-by-side and 10 deep in a container.

The ones from Uline are proper for shipping to china, called "export certified ispm-15" because they are treated. They cost us about $20 each in quantity.

Recycled pallets are possible for pallets that would not go to china, that cost about $12 in quantity. For any uses that might go overseas we should go with the export pallets.

For pallets we get from others, they are rarely as small as ours. Most common is 48" x 40". According to SeanFagan, we can use them in our containers.

PalletIDs

Each pallet that is part of the Internet Archive collection and has materials on it, will have a palletID. Where these come from is talked about on the PAIncomingInventory page.
